Further to the Notts Clubs Open Meeting held on 13th July 2011, the Nottinghamshire Hockey Association is organising a Level One Umpires Course during October 2011.
The course has been organised to encourage all Nottinghamshire Hockey Clubs to educate more members as umpires; as this was identified as a focus-area within the meeting. In recognition of the importance of educating more umpires within the county, the NHA has applied a large amount of funding to this course, resulting in candidate fees that are far lower than the national average of £40-£50 per individual. The NHA is also keen to support the umpiring needs of the Notts Women’s Hockey League, so please encourage your female members to apply!
Details of the course are attached and summarised below:
|Date(s):||6:30 – 9:00pm on Tuesdays 11th & 18th October 2011|
|Venue:||Highfields Sports Centre, Conference Room, University Boulevard, Nottingham, NG7 2PS|
|Costs:||10 Free Funded places are available to the following clubs who attended the Notts Hockey Assoc. Clubs “Open Meeting” on 13th July 2011 (Please send your voucher(s) along with your application form):
15 Non-Funded candidates will be charged at £35 each. Candidates who successfully complete all three compulsory elements of the course will have £10 of this fee refunded.
|Spaces:||There are 25 spaces available on the course. If demand exceeds the amount of non-funded spaces available, clubs may be limited to a number of free spaces.|
This is a fantastic opportunity to improve umpiring standards within Nottinghamshire, so please publicise this event throughout your club. Please respond to the email address below with the quantity and details of interested attendees before Monday 19th September 2011.
